Hey, all. I'm "called" Aram, some of you may know me if you frequent the Bob and George forums. I came across From Then On Forth recently, a link from Erin Lindsay's "Venus Envy", which I'm sure you're all familiar with. If you're not, then go read it! I'm not in the habit of listing my likes and dislikes, but if you -really- want me to talk about 'em, message me or something. And I don't really wanna talk about myself or anything, I don't need to burden ya'll with my woes ;P
Edit: Damn, I wish the forum would capitalize the "A" in my username. I hate it like that.

Well how can you be properly welcomed if you don't tell us about you? I mean there's a difference between dumping your problems on people and saying:
Hi, I'm me, I like stuff.
More spesifically I like to do this stuff, watch this stuff, hear that stuff, and read this other stuff.

Well anyway, welcome here, we're weird, and I'm not logged in at the moment.

Well. Thanks, I guess. I'm also a bit uncomfortable talking about myself on a new forum.

I'm not trying to wring information out of you, don't say anything you aren't comfortable with, I'm just telling you what I think.
Not wanting to reveal stuff is understandable, but the thing is that save for people who can find out your credit card number without too much effort no one here knows anything about you. You're safe because whatever you say, so long as you don't trade away real world identity, can't come back to hurt you. It will never effect how anyone outside of the forum knows or feels about you.
And as for those on the forum, well they can't know or feel anything about you at that point. I think that generally interactions of any sort are greatly helped if others know at least a little.
Personally I'm not all that sane about how I deal with people online, I once gave out satellite photos of my house, I'm certainly not suggesting that, but I do think it's a bit odd to create an [Insert witty greeting here] thread without an [Insert info about yourself] section.
Would you be kind enough to tell what it was you liked about Venus Envy?

If you wanna talk to me about my personal life, contact me on AIM or MSN. I'm not going to be posting the ABCs of my life, dear.
Oh, and about Venus Envy, I liked the story. And the way the art got loads better, as it does in most comics. I particularly like that about From Then On Forth, actually. Elizabeth's gotten loads better as an artist.
I don't think it's odd at all to create a greeting thread. I've said my hellos, and you've said yours. Isn't that it?
But yeah, contact me privately if you wanna know a bit more about me. Don't expect too much, hun.
