I wasn't planning on registering here but I've been looking at the forum every day so it seems pointless not to. First I didn't want to register because I was too lazy then because I was afraid that someone I know might spot me (I only ever use one name, I'd feel dishonest if I didn't use it.) It's not that I'm ashamed of being seen here, it's just that I don't like some of the people I know, and the two I dislike the most have good taste in webcomics.
This is the best one I've come across so I figure one or both of them might show up at some point.

When I was just planning to drop by once in a while it seemed like a good idea to be anonymous, but I have no restraint. Like I said I've been looking in just about every day. So anyway:
Hi, I'm me, I'm also Chris, and you should all watch Firefly and Serenity (in that order) available on DVD now.
Sorry about the last part but it saves me the trouble of wondering if I've earned the credibility to say it later on. Also at one point I was on a forum and I wanted to tell everyone to see it because they all deserved it, that kind of quality is rare and should be treasured (which is why I read From Then On Forth), but I couldn't think of a way to say it that didn't sound like a somewhat rabid and very zealous fan trying to spread the fandom like a plague.
Now I figure I'll just say it up front and you'll all know that I'm a semi-rabid very zealous fan right from the start.
Now that I've gotten that out of the way more about me, if you haven't figured out I'm a strong believer in fiction. Someone once said to me:
"Reality is just a state of mind, something that isn't real may still actually exist. Not physically but in the heart and the mind."
And that's something I've been trying to say in many different ways for ages. The characters in Firefly, From then On Forth, Unwell, and Something may not be physical people, but to me they are real, they matter, and that is why I'm here. I care about what happens to Seth in a way that is probably unhealthy. I know that you're supposed to draw a line between reality and all the rest, but when a Character I care about is hurt it's like a person I care about is hurt, because in a very not-quite-sane way a person I care about is being hurt. Works the other way too, but Seth isn't in a good way at the moment.
Good fiction isn't made up any more than the real world is, when you're writing something that is worth writing you don't control what happens, you don't tell the characters what to say, you know what happens because that simply is how it happens and the characters tell you what they say and do, they tell you what is important, why it is important, and what to say about it.
The other thing you should know about me is that I tend to go on, and on.

Small recap, what you should know about me:
I'm me.
I care about fiction quite a bit.
I love this comic.
I love Firefly.
I don’t shut up.
And as for the name, it's habit, I'm usually not remotely a cynic. Usually at least.
This is the best one I've come across so I figure one or both of them might show up at some point.
