I recently found out that there are quite a few trans bands out there, several of which have free downloads on their websites. I think the reason they don't have much publicity is because the genre of music they perform is ususally something off the beaten track. Like Lipstick Conspiracy. I have no idea what their music would be classified as. I have to say my favorite band so far is Bitesize, an indie pop/noise pop group that is WAY different than most stuff I usually hear. They're funny and the lyrics are catchy. So yeah, just thought I'd mention this 'cause the forum is going dead again and I'm trying to galvanize it back to life. (Galvanize - like an electric shock that stimulates something) Anybody know of any other trans bands?

Here's the link to Bitesize's site: www.bitesize.net/, and Julia Serano's: www.juliaserano.com/. Julia is a true Renaissance woman, she's a biologist, author, and activist, as well as guitar and vocals for this band.

JD Doyle has an archive of trans music and interviews with trans muscians (both FtM and MtF) on his site www.queermusicheritage.us/index2.html, which is an archive of LGBT music. Some of it is really good, and some of it is really strange. My favorite set so far is part two of this show: www.queermusicheritage.us/nov2005a.html. The lyrics are sometimes explicit, just so you know.
