Do you listen to them? I tend to get what I can as far as game soundtracks go. I have a rather large collection too, as well as a couple movie soundtracks.
But for some reason music from video games touch my heart a LOT. The latest soundtrack I got was the Unlimited SaGa OST. Some of these songs aren't that great, but the opening theme and battle themes are BEAUTIFUL.
Though one of the oddest soundtracks I've come upon is the Silent Hill soundtracks, I don't have the 4th one, but the first 3 are mostly just ambience. Oddly enough I love listening to them. Silent Hill 2 especially.
Though my favorite of them all is kind of a toss up between Kingdom Hearts and Legend of Mana (both by the same composer actually).
I still have more to collect, but I want to get as much as I can.

HELL YEAH! (pardon the pun) My personal favorite is the Legend of Mana Sound Track. Yoko Shimomura is amazing. Also, if you like game mixes, you might try out OC Remixes. You can find them at www.ocremix.org/ Some notable ones you might check out: TheIncredibleSingingRobot- Chrono Trigger FarDrama- Radical Dreamers Dancing Madly- Final Fantasy 6 You Are Not Confined- Final Fantasy 9 There are a hell of a lot of other good ones, but those are the best I've seen

Another good remix site is www.vgmix.comThey have a huge library too, and most of the OCRemixes are submitted there too. Though if you want a good remix, get Castlevania - Wicked Orchestra by Scott Peeples. That is the song Wicked Child remixed into a beautiful orchestra.

I think I like the Guilty Gear X and X2 soundtracks the best (they are almost identical).
Remixes....Metal Gear May Cry is one of my faves, and Aeris Lives is also good as hell. But of course, there's many others.

I actually own one video game OST. It's pretty good, the Symphony of the Night soundtrack, it's around here somewhere. I managed to find a file converter for Neverwinter Nights music files, so you can convert those sound files to MP3 files, or convert other MP3 files into Neverwinter Nights music, so you can listen to whatever music instead of the still pretty good normal music.

I've had some video games with some really nice music (I always liked the intro to Dungeon Keeper), but I really like anime music. Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho have some really nice music. I don't have any on disc, though. What does OST stand for? (I can be really ignorant sometimes)

You know, if you put the Warcraft 2 cd into a player, it will play all the songs in the game. Perhaps one of the best pc game soundtracks in the history of Redbook Audio and beyond.

Oh, also there's the Diablo 2 soundtrack, and, um....hmm. Unfortunately, for the most part the pc loses out big time when compared to console music. I think those darn Westerners care more about setting the ambience than making a memorable score. Of course there are exceptions. Jeremy Soule has done great work with Icewind Dale, the Elder Scrolls series and more. Also, Glenn Stafford of Blizzard, though unfortunately since Warcraft 3 he has become a bit more ambient and amelodic with his compositions. I think Chrono Trigger has already been mentioned, understandably, since it would rank #1 in my mind. Also, Secret of Mana 2 has an excellent soundtrack, a pity it was only released it Japan (why haven't they released it for the GBA yet?). Golden Sun For the GBA I think has a notable soundtrack. Also, let's see....Ooh! The original pokemon games, that music sure does bring forth memories. Perhaps because of it's music, I sort of consider Kirby Superstar to be the Chrono Trigger of 2d platformers. Is there anywhere in the US of A where one can purchase a video game soundtrack? I make do with file-sharing programs, and once I bought the Final Fantasy IX soundtrack from the intertron (certainly not the best of the series as far as music is concerned, though it does have it's gems). Is the intertron one's only place to turn?

I remember some place in San Diego that does OST's, but they don't do shipping.
I might start shipping OST's, if I can find them when I move to Japan later this month.
