I just got myself something that I wanted to learn to use for a while, nib pens.
These beautiful things make art shine, if you can use them properly...
I went out and bought 3 nibs (one I already lost somehow), a nib holder, ink, and whiteout. When I got home I pulled out some paper and started practicing with this. My god, it's harder than it looks. Dip the pen in the ink, and start drawing, the problem is that it's hard to know how much pressure to use, not to mention that it's even harder drawing detailed areas due to the ink making a little bubble on the page. For a while I've been using ball point or fine point pens to draw my comics, I don't think I'll be ready for the nib pens for a while. What is cool though is that the lines from a nib look perfect, I mean it looks beautiful when you draw a line, the ink just flows on the paper.
If you are an artist, you should try these out, it's fun plus it's more effective than regular pens (if you can figure out how to use them).
