Well this is what it looked like when I was there: From the front I mean, you've already seen it from the back. Honestly I just showed the first picture because I like the coat I was wearing, but then all of a sudden it got me wondering, "Why does a hole get more attention than a cathedral."

I'm sure the cathedral has lots of holes in it.

I've figured it out. It's because of the sheer quantity of pictures of the cathedral that makes the hole that much more interesting.

I honestly hadn't noticed the hole. I wish I could've visited there. I went to a famous church in Armenia last year, called Echmiadzin. A rather beautiful sight it was as well. If I had any pictures offhand I'd show it... Wait, found it: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Echmiadzin-cathedral.jpg

The best Church I've ever seen, even better than St. Peter's in The Vatican, is the Duomo in Florence. (The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower.) Unfortunately pictures really can't capture it so look at this and pretend you are impressed even though the pictures don't do it anything resembling justice: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Maria_del_Fiore

There was a breif controversy between what is more important churches or holes. It's clearly the hole for me...

Exactly.
More spesifically in the proccess of posting pictures of ourselves I posted a picture including a cathedral, and Jay posted a picture including a hole. The hole got more attention than the cathedral, as it should, because it is more interesting.
So I asked myself why is a hole more interesting than a Cathedral? Then I asked everyone else. The answer seems to be: It just is.

Perhpas it's just the scale. Too much cathedral and not enough people.
The hole is much better, just because it's more focused specifically on an indivdual and their hole.
